Evaluating the Role of ProGest in Preterm Birth. A Scientific Round Table for Gynecologists in Mosul

A scientific round table discussion titled “Evaluating the Role of ProGest in Preterm Birth” was successfully conducted in Mosul on January 27, 2026, organized by Laboratorio ELEA and attended by a group of practicing gynecologists.

The session focused on the clinical application of ProGest® (micronized progesterone) in modern gynecological and obstetric practice. Evidence-based guidance was provided regarding appropriate dosing, treatment duration, and patient selection, with emphasis on ensuring safe and effective use in daily clinical settings.

Key clinical indications discussed included threatened miscarriage, luteal phase support in IVF/ART cycles, and prevention of preterm birth in high-risk pregnancies. The discussion highlighted the role of progesterone therapy in optimizing maternal and fetal outcomes while aligning treatment decisions with current clinical evidence.

The round table format encouraged active participation, allowing attendees to engage in open scientific dialogue and exchange practical clinical experiences. Follow-up individual scientific discussions further supported clarification of specific cases and strengthened professional engagement.
